Illegal Immigration In the United States
For many, many years, individuals from all over the world keep coming into the United States searching for a better life for themselves, and most importantly for their spouse, their children and even their children's children. However, not every immigrant comes into this country through legal procedure and most of these illegal immigrants are poor and uneducated people. In some cases they are brought here because of human trafficking, smuggling or other methods. There is one thing we know for sure that many of them choose to remain silence when they become victims. The three main reasons they become unnoticible victims are they are not conscious they are victimized, they don't know the right way to ask for help and they are afraid to be fired or even deported.
Illegal immigrants in the United States usually come from less developed countries or at least poorly advanced sectors of these countries. These illegal immigrants carry a totally different comprehension of culture, legal system and human rights when they came into this country. The most these people are victimized is when they are working for very long hours and get treated very poorly and also get paid very minimum wage. They take any jobs opportunities because they have to provide for their families wether they are here or back in their country of origin. People take advantage of them and abuse their power because they are aware that immigrants will do anything to keep the job and to keep their legal status a secret. In class we learned the struggle they go through when trying to achieve a citizenship if they are ever able too. Being an immigrant myself has though me the importance to keep my culture alive in a new country, it has thought me to be proud of who i am and of where i come from.
